Dragon Ball Movie Sucks Balls

The newsbeet.com news is there’s going to be a Dragon Ball movie. No it’s not one of those beautifully animated theatrical releases. In fact it’s not even going to be animated. But before all you fans start slapping your foreheads while saying “What the hell are these folks in Hollywood thinking?!” take a look at the cast first.
Playing Goku is Justin Chatwin. That’s right, he’s the kind of who-the-f***-is-this-guy type of actor. Some of you might know him from a sleazy TV show called Keys to the V.I.P. where he acts like a pretty boy criticizing some hapless wanna-be club whore. Master Roshi is played by Chow-Yun-Fat. We may have all come to respect him, especially in his roles in Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon and The Killer, but this career move has diminished any level of prestige attributed to him as far as I’m concerned. Of course, there plenty more “rising stars” whose names aren’t familiar enough to mention.
The story takes place during the earlier part of the series, when Piccolo is the main bad guy. No news yet if it will carry on until the “Z” period, but my fingers are crossed that it won’t.
My stand is they don’t have to ruin the name of one of the most successful franchises ever just to make a name for some bullshit actor. That seems to be the pattern nowadays. Hollywood execs steal their ideas from somewhere else, make a mess of it, then ruin an entire name altogether. So all the Dragon Ball fans, let’s give this movie a big up-yours and vow to not even watch the trailer of this disgusting charade. We have a little less than a year before this movie comes out. Let’s all hope something goes wrong.
