Grammy Phenomenon and rehab VIP Amy Winehouse faces another hardship to sing "no, no, no" about. This time, it's not so much as a childish denial, rather it's in a more defeated, agonizing realization. After being hospitalized due to collapsing is said to have been diagnosed with early signs of emphysema.

The disease, which destroys the basic functions of the lungs, was most likely caused by Winehouse's constant exposure to cigarettes and other illegal substances. To back this statement, her father, Mitch Winehouse, commented that "...smoking the crack cocaine and the cigarettes, her lungs are all gunked up." The worried father also tells the Sunday Mirror, ""There are nodules around the chest and dark marks. She's got 70 percent lung capacity."

In just 24 years of age, Winehouse has been on the fast track to many pains and sicknesses. She's had a really bad break up, suffered from substance abuse, caused much controversy with her behavior (which practically obliterated her public image), and had recently been confined at the hospital after collapsing in her London home. The latter was believed to have been caused by tuberculosis, but as we now know, that's been ruled out and replaced with early stages of emphysema.

Her father elaborates on her recent visit, "When we got to the hospital a room was ready, several doctors came in and checked to make sure she didn't need any emergency treatment. They put her on a drip straight away because she was dehydrated. She said, 'Don't worry about me, dad. I know I've got to stop taking drugs now.'"

Prior to fainting, it was reported that the singer had been awake for 48 hours straight. When she was confined, she was "curled up in bed," and slept for three days. "She's got emphysema," Mitch Winehouse says, "It's in its early stages, but had it gone on for another month they painted a very vivid picture of her sitting there like an old person with a mask on her face struggling to breathe".
